Ireland - Wild Atlantic Way

This photo better shows how close you are standing to the edge of the Cliffs of Kerry (top). This area is renowned for beehive huts and these are just replicas of those huts (bottom) but we have seen the real thing along the way as well. They are dry stone buildings, round in shape dating from 2000BC and you come across them dotted amongst the farmlands. They were used for habitation often by monks.
